Hackamores
A hackamore bit, sometimes called a brockamore in Western Riding is a bit-less headgear which a horse wears with shanks placed between a noseband and a curb chain to connect the reins.
The hackamore is often used for show jumping where horses will often not respond to side-pull. Also used for endurance riding or competitive trail riding the benefit of a hackamore is its ability to allow the horse to eat and drink freely without removing the head gear.
